Trying to use KDE 4.9.2 with pulseaudio built-in equalizer but:

$qpaeq
There was an error connecting to pulseaudio, please make sure you have the pulseaudio dbus and equalizer modules loaded, exiting...

then:

$pactl load-module module-equalizer-sink
$qpaeq

Sometimes the equalizer gui open but no affects the sound, sometimes (rare) affect.

2.
If I add 'load-module module-equalizer-sink' to '/etc/pulse/default.pa' no way to run qpaeq:

$pulseaudio -k
$start-pulseaudio-kde or start-pulseaudio-x11 or pulseaudio --start

Oh, in the mean time, you can add this to your /etc/pulse/default.pa

load-module module-equalizer-sink

Or if you want to do this manually:

pactl load-module module-equalizer-sink
