I emerged media-tv/mythtv-0.25.2_p20120716 yesterday because my old media-tv/mythtv-0.24_p20110524 installation stopped displaying mythfrontend.  With 0.25 I still have the same problem, so I suspect that the problem actually lies somewhere else.  Here's some additional info:

I run this mythtv install purely for display purposes (this computer is hooked up to our TV).  The master backend is on 192.168.2.3.  It seems to be working and displaying fine...

Would it be helpful for you to know that mythfrontend on carter actually displays somewhat correctly when run over ssh on another terminal?

I ran emerge --sync today and emerge -uD world and then revdep-rebuild and it seems to work now.  I don't know what I did that fixed it, but at least it seems to be fixed...
