Description Max Klinger 2012-11-01 23:50:51 UTC
Just did a fresh install of xpra on an almost virgin gentoo. The build went fine, but when trying xpra start :100 like specified on its home page, I get:
% xpra start :100
cannot load x264 codec: cannot import name codec
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/xpra-2.7", line 6, in <module>
    sys.exit(xpra.scripts.main.main(__file__, sys.argv))
  File "/usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/xpra/scripts/main.py", line 443, in main
    from xpra.scripts.server import run_server
  File "/usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/xpra/scripts/server.py", line 19, in <module>
    from xpra.wait_for_x_server import wait_for_x_server        #@UnresolvedImport
ImportError: No module named wait_for_x_server

This file is usually present, i confirmed with a working xpra install on another gentoo computer. My guess is, it was installed by earlier versions and didn't become incompatible. I'll try and confirm by installing an older version and upgrade to 0.7.1-r1.
