Description samLT 2012-11-01 09:43:23 UTC
Hello,

I can't build python-3.2.3 with these use flags:

emerge -pqv '=dev-lang/python-3.2.3'
[ebuild R ] dev-lang/python-3.2.3 USE="doc* examples* gdbm ipv6 ncurses readline sqlite* ssl threads (wide-unicode) xml -build -tk -wininst"

error is:

Python build finished, but the necessary bits to build these modules were not found:
_tkinter
To find the necessary bits, look in setup.py in detect_modules() for the module's name.

Failed to build these modules:
_dbm

As you can see, tk is disabled
"Bug 413393 - dev-lang/python[tk] should depend on dev-tcltk/tix", but it looks like tix is required anyway? (it is _not_ currently installed on my system (fresh -and not finished- install if that matters)

Reproducible: Always

*** WARNING: renaming "_dbm" since importing it failed: libgdbm.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

That most likely means "revdep-rebuild required", so likely INVALID.
