Just been bitten by this bug, still happening with tclreadline-2.1.0-r2. Can someone confirm and reopen? Fixed it: https://github.com/laomaiweng/laomaiweng-overlay/tree/master/dev-tcltk/tclreadline The changes fix several bugs (readline detection, symbol resolution, runtime crashes, memory leaks, misuse of readline status code), not strictly the current one, and render tclreadline usable (at least on my amd64 machine). Feel free to help yourself to the provided patches. I'll try pushing those fixes upstream, but I'm not sure it's still responsive.
