There is no ebuild for xfree-4.4.0 in portage and some rumors around
that distros boycott xfree-4.4.0 because of a certain incident, which
can be read about at: http://www.xfree.org/

So, if anyone knows about some xfree-4.4.0 ebuild or some boycott, let
us know here or simply post the ebuild :-)))

i do not have the time and knowledge for making all the necessary pat-
ches to xfree to fit on gentoo - but thought it might be of interest 
to file this bug...

Just to summarize, Xfree > 4.4 rc2 (versions affected by the new license) will not go into Portage.
