Description Jan Loderhose 2004-03-07 07:13:47 UTC
I tried 'emerge atk' countless times from several mirrors this morning and always ended up with the same result:

!!! Fetched file: atk-1.4.1.tar.bz2 MD5 FAILED Removing corrupt distfile...
!!! Couldn't download atk-1.4.1.tar.bz2 Aborting

!!! Fetch for $PATH/atk-1.4.1.ebuild failed, continuing...

!!! Some fetch errors were encountered.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge atk
2.
3.

The correct digest info in /usr/portage/dev-libs/atk/files/digest-atk-1.4.1
should be...

MD5 d7830bdf1e05d8395794f75097d291be atk-1.4.1.tar.bz2 444235

which is the md5 for the .tar.bz2 file(confirmed by gnome.org here
ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/sources/atk/1.4/atk-1.4.1.tar.bz2.md5 )
Comment 2 Jan Loderhose 2004-03-07 11:20:35 UTC
the current digest info in $PATH/digest-atk-1.4.1 is

MD5 8a2c4a256c8d4a8dfa373b16cceccba9 atk-1.4.1.tar.bz2 444235

(last 'emerge sync' 5 mins prior to this posting)

until they fix it, for anybody who has that problem:

cd /usr/portage/dev-libs/atk/files
rm *
cd ..
ebuild atk-1.4.1.ebuild digest

and the continue with whatever you were doing before, this fixes the problem, don't do an emerge sync before having atk installed thogh otherwise the digest will be overwritten again.

somebody (you know who you are) messed up the digest. Fixed now.

Thanks for reporting.
