Errors during boot

I'm getting bonding errors during boot when after upgrading kernel from 3.2.x to 3.4+. See attached screenshot for more info. I have no clue why this does not work anymore.

Comment 2 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-10-22 11:40:25 UTC
Probably because sys_bonding_path=/sys/class/net/"${IFACE}"/bonding was changed somehow.

1.
Exactly what version of openrc are you running?

2.
Can you please attach the output of:
find /sys -ls
Comment 4 Rick Farina (Zero_Chaos) gentoo-dev 2012-11-05 18:13:46 UTC
Tested openrc-0.11.3 with kernel 3.5.4 and I cannot replicate this error.

@Rob:
also, please include the output of:
grep bond0 /etc/conf.d/net

Comment 6 Rob Spekschoor 2012-11-06 08:28:39 UTC
the problem was solved by installing linux-firmware package. Must have something to do with specific nic's in servers:

05:00.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme II BCM5708 Gigabit Ethernet (rev 12)
