Description Eric Bosch 2004-03-06 08:35:21 UTC
When booting the install CD on my system, I need to use multiple kernel options, specifically - doscsi - nousb, and an error is generated at line 60 of /linuxrc. The 'sed' executable is missing from the CD image.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Wait for the boot prompt. Type in options -doscsi -nousb
2.
3.
Actual Results:
The linuxrc script failed at line 60 due to the fact that sed was not there to
execute.

Expected Results:
Should have disabled USB detection, and enabled scsi device scan.

is this a busybox problem? is genkernel using busybox at this time, or the actual livecdfs?
Comment 2 Tim Yamin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-03-21 14:48:15 UTC
This is a problem with the symlink not being made by genkernel to the busybox multi-call binary. It's solved in genkernel-3.0.2_rc1.

closing then, thanks plasmaroo

Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux".

I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers,
this is the only reasonable way to do this.
