I'm trying to build davical using ROOT feature of portage in order to build a lxc chroot out of the path. Created attachment 327134 [details] new ebuild with awl in the DEPEND I made davical depends on awl-0.53 too.
It's in RDEPEND. No idea what you're doing :) If you can explain to me why a runtime dep should be "downgraded" to build dep you can change it, but I don't consider this to be a valid bugreport.
I though my explanation was clear enough. I use the portage ROOT feature, just like what eprefix does afaik. davical needs awl to run some script in the compilation phase of the ebuild hence it must be present in DEPEND not just in RDEPEND. FTR, I don't need this anymore since I then setup a build lxc to prepare the binpkgs for my lxc guests but I guess prefix users would be glad to have this fixed anyway.
