New version of v4l-utils have appered few days ago after half year of development. Please update. For my personal use I ussusaly just do a ebuild bump, but this package in portage is split into two packages so it resuires more skil to bump. I also noticed that configure script allows for checking of nls and static-libs therefore either v4l-utils or libv4l might should make use of them Regards, Wojciech Reproducible: Always
v4l-utils-0.9.1 is only a development snapshot for the future 0.10 release; see http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.drivers.video-input-infrastructure/55824 So we will not be adding it. However, many of the important bugfixes included in the 0.9.1 snapshot were backported and released as version 0.8.9, which I've now added to portage. >*libv4l-0.8.9 (20 Oct 2012) > > 20 Oct 2012; Alexandre Rostovtsev <tetromino@gentoo.org> libv4l-0.8.5.ebuild, > libv4l-0.8.5-r1.ebuild, -libv4l-0.8.6.ebuild, libv4l-0.8.8.ebuild, > +libv4l-0.8.9.ebuild: > Version bump, improves pixart jpeg compression support and adds fixes for > more laptop models (bug #438244, thanks to Wojciech Myrda).
