Qjoypad compiles properly, but the tray icon does not show up. I can click the blank area in my systray to bring up the configuration dialog and right click it to select a layout (business as usual), but the tray icon itself does not appear. My window manager (fluxbox) was built to include support for both XPMs and PNGs via imlib2. All other tray icons show up as expected. I'm not familiar with C++, but it seems that there's an ICON64 constant used in `layout.cpp` and defined in `qjoypad.pro` that's pointing to an icon file (icon64.png) that doesn't exist under qjoypad's included icons/ directory. The same is happening for the 24x24 sized icon. The contents of icons/ are: gamepad1-24x24.png gamepad1-64x64.png gamepad2-24x24.png gamepad2-64x64.png gamepad3-24x24.png gamepad3-64x64.png gamepad4-24x24.png gamepad4-64x64.png These files are moved to /usr/share/pixmaps/ upon installation, with s/gamepad/qjoypad/ applied. I symlinked "icon64.png" to "qjoypad4-64x64.png" to see if I could fool qjoypad into showing an icon and it didn't work. qjoypad does not seem to have a debug flag, nor does it send anything to stdout when run from a terminal. If I'm missing any information, I'll gladly provide it.

works fine for me. Seems like a fluxbox bug.
(In reply to comment #2) > works fine for me. Seems like a fluxbox bug. The bug happens with x11-wm/i3 as well.
sounds like they don't support the desktop file spec completely.
The tray icon is also invisible with x11-wm/awesome. Between Fluxbox, i3, and awesome, all tray icons that I've tried work except qjoypad's. Which window manager to you use, Mr. Bones? It's hard to believe that 3 separate WMs all fail to "get it right" while also properly displaying the icons for transmission, scim, and pidgin.
Oh, sorry, I misunderstood you. I thought you were talking about the icon in the menu to launch qjoypad. Should be fixed now. Resync and emerge again to see the icon.
No problem. Misunderstandings happen. :) It works now. Thanks!
