Can you try the current stable (9.9.1_p2) as well as 9.9.1_p4 and 9.9.2 please?
Comment 4 Sean McGovern 2012-10-11 13:43:28 UTC
9.9.2 does not exhibit the crash anymore on my machine (ppc).
Comment 5 Christian Ruppert (idl0r) gentoo-dev 2012-10-11 19:10:22 UTC
9.9.2 contains a fix. It's not the patch from Arch.
We'll wait a bit and stabilize 9.9.2.
Comment 6 Dimon 2012-10-12 05:17:58 UTC
9.9.1_p4 crashes as 9.9.1_p3 version.

9.9.2 does not exhibit the crash (~amd64)
Comment 7 Sean McGovern 2012-10-26 13:08:50 UTC
Can this be closed or does it depend on the stabilization?
