On a bare install you can't connect to an x2go server unless font-misc-misc and font-cursor-misc are installed.  Notably, kde-meta does not depend on these packages.

Same behavior as freenx then, thanks for spotting this :) I added both fonts to RDEPEND in x2goserver-3.1.1.4-r1 (stable candidate)

If you need testing/stabilizing on that at some point let me know.  I can set stable keyword on amd64, and at least test on x86.  I have a bootstrap script that builds an ec2 server with x2go from scratch which made these problems fairly obvious.  It is easy to do testing as a result.

With pleasure, bug #445766 is started now as there were no complaints on the new package :)
