Description Lucas Treffenstädt 2012-09-24 20:05:28 UTC
Since support for a lot of radeon chipsets was dropped from > x11-drivers/ati-drivers-12.4 (See bug #419493) it would be nice to have a separate ebuild (like x11-drives/ati-legacy) for users who still use those chipsets or maybe a legacy slot in x11-drivers/ati-drivers.
This is especially needed because fixes may be necessary to make the driver work with newer kernels (See #436130)

Reproducible: Always

We have ati-drivers-12.6_beta_pre897 ("12.6 Legacy") for legacy hardware in tree and we have no plans for packaging anything older. Once it goes stable in bug 433665, version 12.4 will be dropped.

Hi,
I have a question. Does these drivers work with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4XXX series?

Regards,
