I just wanted to offer to include a stage1 into 2004.0-minimal and, maybe, call it (again? :)) "basic" LiveCD. I think, it would be very convenient for many users (including me) to have a basic stage1 on a livecd to start up things :)

No. The minimal live-cd is intended to just boot into the "installation-system". No stages will be included on that cd. You have to download the rest of the packages anyway.
