i used the cflags CFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -pipe -O2 -fstack-protector" (stage3>)
libvorbis wouldn't compile (emerge kde , "USE -gtk -gnome qt kde")returned error 1 and crashed,later on when i was issueing an emerge -u system sash returned error1
saying couldn't find something about libs, gcc,static compiling.

All the ebuilds that crashed had one characteristic in common: stack handle protector was changed from ... to 752

Please attach some real errors that your getting. 
ie the "stack handle protector was changed from ... to 752"

Additional info regarding the specific error mesages

successive "warning: Using 'getgrid' in statically linked applications requires
at runtime the shared libraries from the glibc version from linking"
messages.

you need to bootstrap your toolchain here.
Try to get everything current.
