Description Leonid Kabanov 2004-03-02 19:12:05 UTC
/usr/portage/eclass/vim.eclass is garbage. When trying to compile app-editors/vim-core-6.2-r5 and app-editors/vim-6.2-r6 emerge died on sourcing this file.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge sync
2. emerge vim

Actual Results:
>>> emerge (1 of 2) app-editors/vim-core-6.2-r5 to /
/usr/sbin/ebuild.sh: line 1: Spy?

Normal emerging

`file' identify this file as data (unknown file type). I try to change SYNC
variable but this doesn't help. clamav doesn't recognize this as virus. emerge
system halt on this ebuild so I cannot finish instalation.

wranglers, this isn't actually a vim problem. Please reassign to somebody who handles mirror issues.
Comment 3 Martin Holzer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-03-03 13:05:34 UTC
try sync with an official gentoo mirror
Comment 4 Aron Griffis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-03-04 14:07:41 UTC
The vim.eclass is fine on the official mirrors
