Description matt van mater 2002-06-30 12:25:03 UTC
I burned the larger ISO image using nero and it seems to have completed
correctly. When I put the cd into my digital celebris gl 6180 box the cd will
not boot from cd. Here is a similar spec layout of the computer:
http://www.compaq.com/legacysupport/digital/celebris_gl_6200i2_specs.html

The difference between my system and that in the link is mine is a ppro 180 and
I put a WD 3.2 gig hd in there. Other than that they are identical. mandrake,
redhat, freebsd and openbsd all boot into this computer just fine so i'm not
sure what could be wrong with the boot image. I really want to try gentoo (i
consider myself more of a bsd user, and gentoo appeals to me) and hope this
problem can be taken care of. let me knwo if you need any more info as i will
be glad to help any way i can.

Have you tried the 1.4_rc1 iso?

Please try the latest "2002122100" livecd at
http://www.gentoo.org/dyn/experimental/livecd/ and post results here (good/bad)

No follow-up from user. Closing.

Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux".

I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers,
this is the only reasonable way to do this.
