1.2.0 (and 1.1.2) have been released a few days ago

Yes. I'm aware. I mentioned that I'll be combining app-emulation/qemu and app-emulation/qemu-kvm into one ebuild, in the process of working on that. If you need support for this asap, just run:

EGIT_COMMIT=qemu-kvm-1.2.0 emerge =app-emulation/qemu-kvm-9999

I tried to install qemu-1.2.0, but it has failed as the unpacked directory is qemu-kvm-1.2.0, not qemu-1.2.0. After tweaking the ebuild and copying the patch from live version as the ebuild needs it, there is problem with

"dobin /usr/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 /usr/bin/qemu-kvm"

I commented that part altogether and it seem to install qemu-system-x86_64 correctly. For qemu-kvm I used same procedure as in qemu-1.1.1-r1 ebuilds.

qemu-kvm is not present in build directory and according to discussion on KVM mailing list, symlink is ok.

Find edited ebuild from my local overlay attached for inspiration. I am no ebuild hacker so it just works for me.

Best regards,

Ondrej.

So a mask and unkeyword mean nothing huh? DO NOT USE THIS EBUILD UNTIL IT IS KEYWORDED AND UNMASKED.

Looks like Qemu 1.3.0 is out and apparently it completes the merge of qemu-kvm into qemu.

I apologize if it was inappropiate to post this here.

1.2.x series is now unmasked.
