I don't know how this line:
append = "initrd=/boot/initramfs-genkernel-sparc64-<keyval id="kernel-version"/> real_root=/dev/sda1"

Is going to affect the xml renderer with the double quotes and stuff...

won't affect anything. only time it would matter is if it was in an element attribute. thanks for the patches; i'm on 'em.

fixed in CVS. split out the initramfs instructions to a cross-arch <include>, linked it into the doc, added <keyval> variables to handbook-*.xml for kernel/initrd versions.
