Description Wilbur Pan 2004-03-01 10:35:17 UTC
The sidebar for packages.gentoo.org is not accurate for any day that is not the current day. For example, if I look at the sidebar (today is 3/1/2004) at package listings for Sunday (2/29/2004), the list reads:

 . thinkeramik 3.0.6
 . metacity-themes 1.0
 . nautilus-themes 1.0
 . qtpixmap 0.26
 . qtpixmap 0.27....

and so on.

If I click on the link for Sunday's packages in the sidebar, which takes me to
http://packages.gentoo.org/daily/2004/02/29/, the list of packages in the main part of the page starts with fbg 0.9-r1, gtetrinet 0.7.5, Net-SSLeay 1.23, and so on. The packages listed above are not in the main part of the page at all.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual Results:

Expected Results:
All packages for the date should be listed in the main part of the page.

Fix in weeks.py, daily.py
Comment 3 Wilbur Pan 2004-03-22 04:18:55 UTC
packages.gentoo.org is still not behaving well. I just clicked on the link for Sunday's packages (today is 3/21/04) and the same issue is occurring.

I think it's the cache. /daily/ is cached after first hit (if it is not current day). But I think previous day's ebuilds are still trickling in. Side bar is updated every 3 hrs so it's fresh. Will probably remove the caching since I doubt it improves performance much.

This should be closed. We're not caching those pages anymore.
