fixed it. I was an idiot and erased the build.log file when I used ebuild and after I finished getting it to work. Sorry.

That points to a post about a problem compiling with clang (not gcc).

version 1.3.2 compiles fine here on an gcc-4.7 system. Please use this version.

right, it is a post about compiling on clang, but i used the same patch to get it to compile on gcc 4.7.1
