Description Markos Chandras (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-08-28 18:25:00 UTC
Hi, since I updated to the latest version of networkmanager, I can no longer edit my VPN connections. When I click the "edit" button on nm-applet I get the following error:

Could not find VPN plugin service for 'org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.openvpn'.

I also have the latest networkmanager-openvpn ebuild installed. This used to work with earlier networkmanager releases.

Let me know if you need more info

Indeed, emerging with USE="gtk" fixes the problem. I am not sure if this expected or not

It's expected. If you emerged networkmanager-openvpn with "-gtk", it means you didn't want the gtk-based openvpn configuration dialog :)
