Description Brent Kelly 2004-02-28 09:52:17 UTC
When trying to emerge kavi2svcd with keywords ~x86, which both 0.8a and 0.8.2 are masked, it will have you emerge 0.8a

I'm not to familiar with the internals of portage and how it determines version order, but I'm fairly certain (since I sumbitted it) that 0.8.2 is the latest version (and .8a was an alpha) so 0.8.2 should be the one being emerged.

What would be causing this, the version number scheme used (ie 0.8a and 0.8.2)?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

2.
