Description Raymond Jennings 2012-08-12 18:48:35 UTC
According to http://kernel.org/, kernel version 3.3.8 is EOL

However, this version also happens to be the one referenced by the most recently stabilized ebuild, at least when I updated my system yesterday.

There are pending 3.4 bugs: https://bugs.gentoo.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=gentoo-sources-3.4&list_id=1204816

EOL does not mean "broken unstable kernel" What exactly are you asking in this bug because it is not clear to me

I guess I thought the stabilization process was lagging a bit.

So I suppose I'm asking for stabilization to pick up the pace a bit.

Sorry if I'm out of line, I just figured on a crazy hunch that it was a Bad Thing (tm) in general for the latest stable version of a package to be marked EOL by its upstream.

feel free to open a stabilization bug if I don't get to it soon.
