Description Christoph Brill (egore) (RESIGNED) 2004-02-27 06:53:04 UTC
AFAIK:
boost 1.30.x needs python 2.2
boost 1.31.x needs python 2.3

1.) this should be a fixed dependecy in ebuilds
2.) mask boost 1.31.x from ~x86 to x86, since python 2.3 is masked x86, too

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

george, can you advise on this bug? should we mark one of the dev-libs/boost to stable even tho their cvs snaps?
Comment 2 George Shapovalov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-02-28 09:55:40 UTC
Well, I was going to unmask the atest alpha (as this would be the only version that works with new python), was just waiting for more test results. But meanwhile boost people finaly issued the relese :). I've added it a few days ago, got few test reports and just unmasked it. I'll give it a week or two more and then remove these alphas from the tree then (as they were just cvs snapshots)..
