I thought I'd play with this one hoping it might work while waiting for my new 
system to compile and found some major issues.

a) it requires pkgconfig, but is not a dep.
b) not the latestest version (latest version was supposed to be an easier 
compile)
c) even with problems a and b fixed, it still wont compile with various syntax 
and typedef errors.

The version in portage (and the current version) requires DirectFB-0.9.10.
Fixed on CVS.  Leaving it to you to add the updated version (which 
should work now w/ the old DirectFB).
