Well, I think that the main line is:

Session management error: Could not open network socket

I mount an nfs directory from an amd64 server to /mnt/netgentoo.
mount --bind /dev /mnt/netgentoo/dev/
mount --bind /dev/pts/ /mnt/netgentoo/dev/pts/
mount --bind /proc/ /mnt/netgentoo/proc/
chroot /mnt/netgentoo /bin/bash
source /etc/profile
emerge -uD kde

Then I run into this error.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -uD kde
2.

Comment 1 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-03-09 19:07:43 UTC
Change your MAKEOPTS to = "-j1" for this ebuild. I'm working with upstream to get the fix in place.
Comment 2 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-03-10 05:03:14 UTC
Now fixed in the 3.2.1 ebuild.
