I have www-client/chromium-22.0.1201.0 and WebGL is disabled. With the same laptop but using www-client/chrome-22.0.1221.1_*, I have WebGL enabled. Interesting thing is with Chromium, if I go to "chrome://gpu/", I see that WebGL is actually enabled and if I then try, it is actually enabled. Steps to reproduce: 0. Start Chromium 1. Go to: http://get.webgl.org/ -> You will get a message saying: "Hmm. While your browser seems to support WebGL, it is disabled or unavailable. [...]". 2. Go to: chrome://gpu -> You will see "WebGL: Hardware accelerated". 3. Go to http://get.webgl.org/ again -> You will read "Your browser supports WebGL". Expected results: Steps 1 should have the same result as step 1.
You seem to be comparing the behavior of two different versions. Maybe some bug was fixed between 22.0.1201.0 and 22.0.1221.1? At the moment, I can't really do anything with this report. chromium-22.0.1221.1 performs as expected on my system, and you haven't provided any particularly useful information. Maybe if you provide some more information about your system, and others chime in, we can look for a pattern.
I can't reproduce this bug on my system with chromium-22.0.1221.1 (using nvidia-drivers)
