Description SpanKY gentoo-dev 2004-02-24 22:49:08 UTC
`make mandocs mandocs_install`
Comment 1 Tim Yamin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-21 13:24:33 UTC
This looks like a kernel-2.eclass; not a genkernel issue. Reassigning back.
Comment 2 Greg Kroah-Hartman (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-21 13:31:50 UTC
But the kernel-2.eclass does not build anything, it's up to genkernel to build
any part of the kernel right now.

So it can't be a kernel issue :)

tag, you're it.
Comment 3 Tim Yamin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-21 13:33:40 UTC
Genkernel doesn't and never did do manpages and I think this is better in the eclass since that way Portage actually handles the manpages - introducing lots of arbitrary files getting installed into / isn't a good idea without proper package management, which we have in Portage.

Mike; please comment and re-assign to where you think this should go...
Comment 4 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2004-06-21 15:12:46 UTC
i dont see how genkernel has anything to do with this bug

genkernel is for users to easily generate a kernel ...
Comment 5 Michal Januszewski (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-07-04 17:02:14 UTC
kernel-2 updated in CVS, have fun while waiting for all those manpages to be made ;)
