The ebuild defines $MY_FILES as "$FILESDIR/perforce-2003.1/" whereas it should be "$FILESDIR/perforce-proxy-2003.1"

(note the trailing slash should also be removed)

Without this change, the scripts in /etc/init.d and /etc/conf.d are never installed.

Fix committed to CVS - should be showing up on rsync mirrors in about an hour.
