Oh, I forgot: my kernel is version 2.6.1-gentoo-r1
Comment 7 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2004-02-24 23:43:00 UTC
andrea: your bug has already been fixed and is unrelated to this bug report

sync up and use 1.9.18-r1
Comment 8 Pablo De Nápoli 2004-02-25 05:07:07 UTC
I'm using linux-headers-2.4.21
Why do we have linux-headers differerent from the kernel sources?
Shouldn't we use the headers from the installed kernel?
Comment 9 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2004-02-25 17:33:50 UTC
as long as the kernel headers are from the same series (2.4.x headers with 2.4.x kernels) you're ok
Comment 10 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2004-03-17 19:11:26 UTC
mmm why are you building with USE=build ?
uses should never put 'build' into USE

i assume that svgalib still fails to build if you build with USE=-build ?
Comment 11 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2004-05-16 01:12:09 UTC
Pablo: please try linux-headers-2.4.22 and see if that fixes this bug of yours
Comment 12 Pablo De Nápoli 2004-05-16 06:28:04 UTC
I'm currently using linux-headers-2.4.26 (and the kernel - vanilla sources 2.4.26 from kernel.org). With this headers, svgalib is built ok
Comment 13 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2004-05-16 12:14:27 UTC
well svgalib-1.9.18 is ~x86 as is linux-headers-2.4.22
