The issue is still here with iptables-1.4.21:

pretty sure this is due to your ridiculous CFLAGS/LDFLAGS setting.  libtool might be filtering out things it doesn't understand.

use something basic/sane and it'll probably work fine.

CFLAGS may look crazy, but in fact they're quite well justified for a target host. Most of flags are just -O3 expanded with dangerous or performance hampering options removed. LDFLAGS has nothing common with this issue since QA notices only CFLAGS ignored.

And I really doubt this is a general libtool problem, because I just updated whole world on this host and only few packages has QA warnings about ignored CFLAGS. libtool is used far more wider and doesn't trigger issues with most of other packages.
