i wanted to install cherokee (0.4.1 is marked stable at the moment) and it bugged out as described in http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41744. this bug is still unsolved (hint! hint! ;-) ). there are masked versions up to 0.4.5 (which actually works, though it hangs quite some time processing a 9.5 megs large makefile.in - should i file a bugreport about this?) available, however ebuilds for the newer versions (up to 0.4.10 available) would be great. this would also fix bug 41744 as a sideeffect as well. ;-) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open ftp://alobbs.com/cherokee/0.4/ 2. take a look ;-) Portage 2.0.50-r1 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.3.2, glibc-2.3.2-r9, 2.4.25) ================================================================= System uname: 2.4.25 i686 AMD Duron(tm) processor Gentoo Base System version 1.4.3.10p1 distcc 2.12.1 i686-pc-linux-gnu (protocols 1 and 2) (default port 3632) [disabled] Autoconf: sys-devel/autoconf-2.58-r1 Automake: sys-devel/automake-1.7.7 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-march=athlon -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" COMPILER="gcc3" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.1/share/config /usr/kde/3.2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/share/config /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=athlon -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs ccache sandbox userpriv usersandbox" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://ftp.tu-clausthal.de/pub/linux/gentoo http://www.ibiblio.org/gentoo" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.de.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="3dnow X aalib alsa apm avi berkdb cdr crypt cups dvd emacs encode foomaticdb gdbm ggi gif gpm gtk gtk2 guile imlib java jpeg kde libg++ libwww mad mikmod motif mozilla mpeg ncurses nls oggvorbis opengl oss pam pdflib perl phyton png python qt quicktime qz readline ruby sdl slang spell ssl tcltk tcpd tiff truetype wmf x86 xml2 xmms xv zlib"
guys how about marking 0.4.10 stable ?
Well, I have no clue here really... Why'd this end up on me? As far as the build goes it looks okay, and Its bad to lag too far behind, so in general I'd say "go"
0.4.14 is already marked stable so this bug is pretty much obsolete.
