anacron should be installed as well, so its installation should be documented right after cron Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
erm.. we don't need 'anacron' to have a functional system. Ppl who really needs it can emerge it whenever they like, the guide is just a guide to set up ur base Gentoo box. Marking this as WONTFIX.
If you don't need anacron, why do you need cron?
A cron is indeed a great tool and GDP recommands vixie-cron in the installation instruction. However, installing whatever-cron is based on each user's preference.
cron does not help if the system is shut down, then you need anacron. So anacron is a great tool as well ;-)
Gentoo is choice. We introduce softwares but not forcing users.
Ok, you've won ;)
