Created attachment 318580 [details] emerge --info I am unable to compile sys-kernel/openvz-sources-2.6.32.53.5 and always get: CC kernel/pid.o kernel/pid.c: In function 'reattach_pid': kernel/pid.c:439: error: implicit declaration of function 'pid_ns_release-proc' make[1]: *** [kernel/pid.o] Error 1 make: *** [kernel] Error 2 Indeed I have also tried with sys-kernel/openvz-sources-2.6.32.49.6 and further more I created in my local overlay the latest stable from upstreams openvz-sources-2.6.32.57.1 but with same result. I even downgraded gcc to 4.4.7 (as gcc-4.4 is suggested in several bugs) and recompiled whole system to no avail. emerge --info attached to keep it nice and tidy. I have use the x86_64 .config from upstream, availabe on same download page as where the specific release is announced. I have then done # cd /usr/src/linux/ # make oldconfig and accepted all default suggestions. I'm lost on this...

Ok, in the end I was able to compile, after once again restoring my backup and recompiled everything with gcc-4.4.7 Not sure what it was but most likely something with the status of my system rather than the ebuild so resolve this one as invalid.
Oh I forgot to say, that while it compiled the kernel won't boot by panics, but that's another story and most likely a config thing.
