I think the description in the kde-i18n ebuild should be changed something like this: The LINGUAS environment variable should be a list of the language codes of the wanted languages. Right now it states that the LINGUAS variable is a list of country codes. After reading the ebuild I tried to install my native language package (swedish), following the ebuild description I used 'LINGUAS=se' -> which installed some 'Northern sami' language not swedish as I expected. The country code for Sweden is 'se', the language code is 'sv'. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Ahh yes. I will fix this - since english is my native language, I wasn't aware of this. :)
kde-i18n-3.2.0.ebuild the worst ebuild ever. if you want to emerge all the LINGUAS and then select yours. i think alowing the users to use $USE is better and eaysier !!!
If you've got a better suggestion I'd like to see it.
Okay, the wording has been changed in the ebuild. Thanks for the report
