Description pavel sanda 2012-07-13 21:12:05 UTC
i just found the first launch of openoffice-bin-3.4.0 creates 200mb of data in ~/.ooo3 full of dictionary datas (I have not set any such USE flag, moreover myspell dictionaries are already on my system via their ebuilds).

More over it does for *each* user. I hope this feature can be disabled by default?

If not please consider to add some warning in ebuild log, 200mb of space for each user is really not fun.

Reproducible: Always

I think it is a known issue for 3.4.0, not sure whether they are going to address it in 3.4.1

With openoffice-bin-4.0.0 this is now down to ~50 MB
You may want to report a bug at https://issues.apache.org/ooo/ if this is still regarded as too much.
