Description Alexis Ballier gentoo-dev 2012-07-13 14:55:53 UTC
I sent an email to bsd@ some time ago, everyone seemed to agree but I slacked and didnt file the request.

What I would like to have is:
- x86-fbsd and amd64-fbsd arch aliases. This would better match the de facto standard keywords <-> aliases for keywording. This will allow us (bsd) to better track keywording bugs.
- bsd alias moved to misc, like other herds.

General idea: arch aliases will be used for keywording. old bsd@ alias will be used for general bsd stuff (porting, bsd maintained packages, etc.)

As for the contents of the aliases, I'd say:
- bsd@ is not changed
- x86-fbsd@ contains the same as the bsd@ alias
- amd64-fbsd@ contains myself and ??? (it'd be opt-in, people can be added later)

Put me in amd64-fbsd@, but not x86-fbsd@. I do not do much with x86-fbsd, so I should not be in it.

We'll need to replace the BSD entry in the 'Add arches' menu as well then.

thanks, though the 'add arches' button still has bsd and not the two new ones here, is it a cache problem or has it been forgotten?
(they're both unstable)

works now, thanks :)
but there is also bsd there, which is not an arch team anymore with these changes (bsd@ is not for keywording anymore)
