When build root-5.34.00 with the following flag set,

emerge -pv sci-physics/root

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

It fails at configure, complaining not finding xft.h (see attached build.log)

Hello,

X can't be build without xft despite configure option, so I updated dependencies.
Fixed version is in the science overlay.
