In the current portage (2-23-04) snapshot, mysql-4.0.16 is the current stable build of mysql (ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86").  However, the source files, mysql-4.0.16.tar.gz, have been removed from all mirrors, making the ebuild fail.

Doing ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge mysql works fine, as it retrieves 4.0.17.
