I am setting up a machine that does not have access to ipv6. All is well, until I need to download the mirrorlist for mirrorselect. --- * Downloading a list of mirrors... ERROR: Could not get mirror list. Check your internet connection. --- I believe gentoo.org can not be accessed via ipv6, will this get fixed, or will you add a dummy mirror list to the live CD? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set up machine without any ipv4 connection, but with ipv6 2. Try to run mirrorselect. Actual Results: Error (see desc) Expected Results: A perfect setup, same as what would happen when doing this on a machine supporting ipv4.

Darkside? I think the whole deal is that mirrorselect is trying to read mirrors{2,3}.xml and cannot. We are more or less at the mercy of our hosting providers for ipv6 availability. For new providers we try to make sure they have both. Could we add an ipv6 VM so they can at least get the mirrors list..?
The problem is that bytemark has been unable to provide a working IPv6 load balancer. The hosts there have working IPv6, so I just added their records directly for now.
