Description Robert Muchacki (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-02-23 10:30:19 UTC
After one of the emerge -U world, I noticed that dvdrip says it can't find libMagick-5.5.6, while I have libMagick-5.5.7. It also depends on perl, so maybe this is the issue.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge dvdrip
2. emerge imagemagick
3. select Read contents of DVD in dvdrip
4. enjoy the message :)

Actual Results:
Message containing information, that it can't find libmagick-5.5.6

Expected Results:
Use my libmagick-5.5.7 I suppose.

I get a similar message from a fresh install. It says it needs libMagick-5.5.6, compilation stops due to no 'libmagick' being installed. Imagemagick 6.0.7.1. is installed however.

Resolution: Should check dependency first and install libmagick.

I'm using the latest unstables (imagemagick and dvdrip) and can't reproduce this. My suggestion would be to try an emerge sync and update both.
