Description Mathias Gumz 2004-02-23 05:54:02 UTC
the patch taken from http://www.net.informatik.tu-muenchen.de/~robin/abook/ adds pgp-entries to abook. i have done a demo-ebuild (http://darkshed.net/files/gentoo/ebuilds/) but will attach only the patch here since its just one line in the ebuild.

mathias

Is this patch going to be folded into their main trunk? I'm on the abook-devel list and haven't heard anything about it.

Also perhaps this patch should be contingent on a USE flag.
Comment 3 Mathias Gumz 2004-02-24 01:17:56 UTC
i spoke with the author of the patch and he told me, iirc, that he announced this patch to the main-tree/people/whatever. no reaction so far. perhaps this will be a good start to show, that this patch makes sense?.

usaflag: sure

mathias

Re-assign wrt Bug 22118
Comment 5 Arseny Solokha 2009-09-30 15:54:55 UTC
The only version of abook in today's portage tree is 0.5.6. This patch isn't applicable to it and should be rewritten or rejected completely. I could try to adapt it for the current version if maintainers consider not to drop it out.
Comment 6 Torsten Veller (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-10-17 18:36:51 UTC
Adding an unmaintained extension for an unmaintained(?) package is probably not what we want.
So until upstream isn't active, this won't be fixed.

Thanks
