Description Ole Tange 2002-06-27 15:34:53 UTC
I do not have space enough for /var/tmp, so I symlinked it to /hda6/var/tmp/
which is a reiserfs partion.

When I emerge a port (e.g. mozilla) I get wierd errors.

If the bug is not reproducable I can include error msg.
Comment 1 Ole Tange 2002-06-27 17:46:30 UTC
This is not a reiserfs problem. If the foreign partition is tmpfs I get the same
problem.

But now I seem to have found a workaround:

mount /hda6/var/tmp /var/tmp --bind

Will be fixed in Portage 2.0.12
