While built without portage racked compiled fine. With same configure opts. The only difference when I find in configure output is: configure: loading site script /usr/share/crossdev/include/site/linux configure: loading site script /usr/share/crossdev/include/site/linux-gnu configure: loading site script /usr/share/crossdev/include/site/x86_64-linux-gnu I dont know clearly how and why econf makes ./configure to load this files, but I pretty sure that it is this files brokes ebuild.
Looks like alexey also has thos lines in his failing log. So it seems to fails because crossdev is merely installed? Can you reproduce after removing crossdev?

I know now, it is not a bug. At least it is not a Gentoo bug. I used CPPFLAGS set to CFLAGS. alexey also do that. And this is a point. cpp is not gcc, and have its own flags. I removed CPPFLAGS=${CFLAGS} from /etc/make.conf and racket was emerged successfully. Than I change USE-flags and emerged racket again -- success. I (just for sure) added CPPFLAGS=${CFLAGS} back, and racket again become unbuildable. I'm sorry for wrong bug-report.

I do not remember clearly why. Probably I misspelled CXXFLAGS, and then forgot to remove wrong line. Probably due to some buggy ebuilds. This line was added to my make.conf several years ago.
