Update ecryptfs-utils-96 to 97 failed with :

The only one difference is I think :
/usr/portage/sys-fs/ecryptfs-utils/ecryptfs-utils-96.ebuild:	append-flags -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64
/usr/portage/sys-fs/ecryptfs-utils/ecryptfs-utils-97.ebuild:	append-cppflags -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64

I confirm that emerging ecryptfs-utils-97 with :
#CFLAGS="-D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64" emerge -uv ecryptfs-utils
fix the error

Same issue with the 99 version
Comment 4 boozo 2012-07-21 08:40:02 UTC
btw,
I really think that the problem is the use of append-cppflags eclass method who has not the same comportement than append-cflags (but i'm not a dev ^^)

And I also confirm that emerging ecryptfs-utils-99 with explicit CFLAGS in commandline (#CFLAGS="-D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64" emerge -uv ecryptfs-utils) fix the error.

ps: I've found a similar closed bug : https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=278494
so mayby close this one and reopen #278494 is a better idea ?
Comment 5 Daniel Savard 2012-07-22 23:47:36 UTC
I confirm the original problem and the fix described by boozo. I am the original reporter for this bug on forums.gentoo.org.
Comment 6 Tim Harder gentoo-dev 2012-07-23 09:46:22 UTC
This should be fixed in ecryptfs-utils-99 in CVS.
