I have both an athalon/mp and a pentium-75 computers running gentoo. emerging aide 0.9 cause both computers to segfault in bison. I have verified I have the latest version of bison running.

I had this very same bug, but i then decided to try out the new ebuild for aide-0.10 so i went ahead and emerged that one and it worked perfectly. so i would highly recommend to workaround this bug by using emerging the masked ebuild for aide-0.10
This bug has been inactive for more than 90 days. In the meantime, aide 0.10 has been marked stable for x86 and alpha. Presumably, the problem has gone away and this bug can be closed now?
I think so, too. With aide 0.10 this problem is fixed.
closing then
