Version 2.0 has been available since march. http://sourceforge.net/projects/makepp/files/2.0/

I installed it manually, and seems to work so far


makepplog: Running `2.0' with Perl `5.16.0' on `x86_64-linux-thread-multi'
makepplog: Loading default makefile for directory `/tmp/makepp-2.0'

I'm afraid, that after the installation, substantial parts of the program are under /share instead /usr/share, resolving in breakage. After a manual copy /share -> /usr/share, makepp runs.
